How to Properly Listen to Music on Your Computer

I recently found this article:

And I wanted to chime in and share my findings - I think they're on to something! I used VLC on my Mac Mini to change the frequency to 432Hz, then opened the same song in iTunes using the default frequency.

The VLC / 432Hz configuration sounded much less harsh! Amazing.

It turns out that in 1936, the powers that be decided to re-tune "A" to be 440hz instead of 432hz. So since then, we've been listening to music that irritates us at a cellular level. It causes stress an disease:

From my many years of searching the Net, the "powers that be" were actually the Nazis. I believe they knew that 440Hz would affect people in ways that would be beneficial to their plans. And I agree, re-tuning to 432Hz does make it sound...

I tried setting the Playback Speed over and over and it kept on resetting. I was careful to save the text file as well after closing VLC. Well it didn't sound any different. No difference in tone at all. Can anyone attest that this even works? I wasted about 30 minutes on this. I've used 432 Player and that really makes a difference, clearly different. But 432 Player can't handle quality formats like FLAC. Boo! And the interface looks like it was created by a brain damaged child....lol.

Hi Bob, you mean you modify your VLC config file, hit save, then open it again and your changes aren't there? Which operating system are you using? It sounds like you're using Method 1 from Roel's...

I got it so it stayed there OK finally. And when I played something with VLC the pitch was identical. I also tried setting it WAY different and there was still no difference in pitch. (I have perfect pitch so I detect minor differences easily.) Later I would check the file and it was back to 1.00000 instead of 0.981818 and that happened over and over. I would edit the text file with VLC closed, save it, then play the file. I think that's what you're supposed to do. Generally you never have the program open when you're editing a text file or certainly don't save a changed version while its open.

Tried it again and changed it from 1.00000 to 2.00000 so there should be a huge difference in pitch. No difference. I also checked the file to make sure it was at 2 and it was.
